RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta - 'Ar Bhruach na Sionainne’
As part of my degree at the Irish World Academy I got the opportunity to perform and present a radio programme on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. The programme was called 'Ar Bhruach na Sionainne’.
The series of four programmes, featured music recorded live in UL with a variety of students from Léann na Gaeilge and the Irish World Academy, as well as guests and members of the university community, with each programme presented by a student. The four programmes aired on weekly basis every on Raidió na Gaeltachta and I was delighted to present the first episode (18 June) and was followed by my colleagues Alex Gregg (June 25); Ciara Geaney (2nd July); and Katie Sands (9th July).

"It's A Drawda Thing"
"It's A Drawda Thing" is an wonderful album that Seán Mc Cluskey from Drogheda's Boomerang Youth Café put together.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to perform two pieces on the album. The first, a violin interlude for singer Coinneach Farrell on the famous song'Raglan Road'.
The second piece I got to perform holds a very special place in my heart. It is a piece I composed called 'Ag Eitilt' (which is the Irish for flying). I composed it firstly on an acoustic violin, then I had the idea to put it on an electric violin and completely change the tuning of the strings.
To this day it is still my favourite tune I have ever composed! 😊
